To be prejudiced and intrinsically discriminatory towards others , be it in relation caste , status, color, religion or sex may be seen as hardwired and learnt over generations. However we, especially the teachers and doctors MUST be in a position to consciously correct the demons within us as teachers particularly are in a position of influence and hold the reins of the fate of the entire generation next. THIS is a HUGE responsibility . Workplaces in UK have regular equality training as part of their induction programmes . I hope this gets more widely done here and not just confined to the corporates. The people most in need of such equality training are the government staff especially teachers and doctors as they are seen to be most influential and placed in a place of trust and respect….
